Vayu Aerospace and Defence Review, a bi-monthly aviation and defence publication from
New Delhi, is completing its 32nd year of publication. The publication is respected in defence circles in
India and abroad. Vayu has a panel of professionals and analysts from all fields of the defence spectrum. Vayu participates at all major air and defence shows worldwide.
Besides publishing, Vayu organise seminars and conferences on aviation/defence matters, and has developed reciprocal relationships with major firms and international journals.
Vayu has been publishing show directories and show daily’s at Aero India in Bangalore, and has also brought out HAL’s and SIATI’s show dailies. Vayu has published special supplements and show dailies at Defexpo also.
VAYU has been nominated, 7 years in a row, for a total of 12 times, at the London and Paris “Aviation Journalist and Publication of the Year Awards.” In 2003, Vayu was the only magazine to be nominated and to win an award from Asia for the “Best Breaking News Story.”
Vayu is distributed to authorities in the Indian Government, including the offices of the President & the Vice President of India, the Prime Minister of India and the union ministries for defence, civil aviation, finance, external affairs, home affairs, etc.
Consultative Committee members of parliament in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House), and the Lok Sabha (Lower House), receive the VAYU. These Consultative Committees review and endorse the policy making decisions of the Government of India.
Chiefs of Staff and including their Principal Staff Officers of the five Services Headquarters receive the journal.
